Part Sources, Manuals, Warranty Information Contacts

Some new products have a warranty which the manufacturer honors per the included papers, or you can request information from them at the contact information provided below before purchasing. For new products with missing or damaged parts, most manufacturers prefer that you contact them directly and they will ship parts directly to you. Older durable items are generally worth fixing when in need of parts, and often hold resale value because they are maintainable.

Wagon Train Toys may have accessories for products either sold separately or with new product, but we do not directly stock the whole array of possible durable product parts so we refer customers to manufacturers or distributors for parts. See the list below that supplements included manufacturer's literature.

KETTLER Brand Items:

For Kettler repair parts, add-on accessories and warranty info call direct to the USA toll free phone number: 866-804-0440 or email parts@kettlerusa.com (Kettler only). For Kiddio, Silver Star, Street Hawk, Nitro Extreme and other store brand Kettler made items, you will need to contact the specific retailer you purchased from.

Kettler made items with different brands in cost reduced form from Wal*Mart, Target, Costco, etc., have possibly separate parts and accessory fitment and a shorter warranty. Brands Kiddio and models like Super Trike, Nitro Extreme, Street Hawk, etc., are not part of the Kettler first quality main product line. For these store specific items the store where purchased is the only sure source of correct parts.

Kettler Owner's Manuals are available in .pdf format at: http://www.kettlerusa.com. Smaller Kettrike accessories are available as a bundle or separately from WagonTrainToys.com but may have S/H added since they are not packaged for individual shipment. The S/H charge may be waived when part of a larger purchase. For separate single items, call Kettler Parts toll free at 866-804-0440 or your selling dealer. Accessories may be shown with other items that are priced separately. Also see www.kettler.net in English.

Radio Flyer wagon and tricycle repair parts and accessories are available only through the factory at 1-800-621-7613.  Ask for Radio Flyer's customer service. Warranty information is also at the same number. For information on Radio Flyer distribution outside the US, refer to
http://www.radioflyer.com.

Scale Model Toys is a different company from RC-Ertl although founded by Joseph Ertl and located in Iowa. But: Metal pedal tractors from both companies may have common hardware such as wheels/ chains, seat, etc. For repair parts or warranty info call 563-875-2436 x2.

Tires for Valley Road Speeder Wagon, Berlin Express Wagon and Speedway Express Wagon: Your local tire store is the best source of these commodity sized tires and inner tubes. For frame repairs, local welding or muffler shops are the best option. For wagons purchased from WagonTrainToys.com, we can source the correct wheel/tire combination (and axle retainer) or new wood or steel parts by email with the model name or number as described on our web page and the color along with the approximate date of purchase (since the design could vary). For damage beyond a single wheel or for new custom construction consider a wagon frame with a set of wheels and a handle available as a wagon undercarriage kit in our regular products.

Dirt King:  The repair parts for Dirt King and similar large steel air tire trikes are standard bicycle parts in the steering head, handlebars, seat and pedals; local bicycle shops and discount stores should stock. Wheel/tires and inner tubes are commodity sizes available through local tire stores, industrial supply and lawn mower dealers. For Dirt King and other large trikes that we sold contact us for further information.

Air Tires, Wheels, Inner tubes: Wheel toys with air tires use commodity sizes of tires although the rim could be more special.  See the page for Tires and Load Capacity for more air tire information. You should have access to a tire pump, but be cautious of excessive pressure at commercial services. An inner tube can be patched yourself with a bicycle patch kit or by a pro. A tube can be patched, replaced or added inside a tubeless tire without much disassembly. To assure best match, stay with the same maker if possible and note the axle diameter as well as tire size, and don't forget to request a new axle retainer cap. Otherwise, change only the tire and/or tube as needed to save trouble matching the rim size and offset, bearing, and other subtle characteristics. Local farm supply, lawn mower and industrial supply stock commodity sizes of wheel/tire sets that match or are close to the originals on larger wheel toys. Tire stores will have tires and tubes and the equipment to change a tire on the same wheel rim. See above for contact information for tires on Radio Flyer and Kettler brand items. We will source wheels/tires only for wheeled items that we sold. Note: The tires mentioned here generally carry an "A" speed rating, max. 20 km/h, and a load rating of between 0 and 60 (45-250 kg).

Hard Rubber, Plastic Tire/Wheel Combinations: Many hard tires are specific to the maker's design. A close substitute is possible but may have to be fitted in person; there are too many variable to guess long distance. Wheels/tires from larger companies may vary from popular sizes. We will source wheels/tires only for wheeled items that we sold. See above for contact information for tires on Radio Flyer and Kettler brand items.

Other Amish Wagon repair parts: Most complete frames with wheels/tires are available for sale by calling if they are not already on the site as kits.  Amish wagons use standard hardware and materials that are available locally from hardware stores. Major repairs to frames can be handled by your local welding shop, and even some customization can be fabricated from stock materials. There is virtually no part on an Amish wagon that is crafted with specialized materials or machines. Aside from accident or abuse, a heavy Amish wagon frame that ever fails can only be defective, and the maker will stand behind his work. We will source component parts only for items that we sold.

Some additional general help: Every town has welding shops that would be happy to help you.  Auto exhaust specialty shops also have the capability to weld thin steel such as tricycle frames, and one shop in our town offers to fix toys free. These folks can melt metal magically and solve your problem with repairs and fabrication. Paint welded areas right away.  JB Weld is a really hard epoxy repair material that we know works.

Rust: See our Maintenance page.
